Emergency help and counselling

Between the Lines does not provide online, email or telephone counselling and does not check emails outside of Australian Eastern Time office hours.

If you need to speak to someone directly and you live in Australia you can call Lifeline on 13 11 14 (cost of a local call) or Kids Help Line on 1800 55 1800 (free call for children and young people aged 5-25) – both services are available 24/7. You can also get web or email counselling with Kids Help Line – check the website for opening hours.

Alternatively, contact the Alcohol and Drug Information Service in your state.
